The food was really good, I recommend starting with the grilled octopus as appetizer and finishing with the spaghetti. The food wasn't fast though. We spent 2 hrs and a half there 1 hr and a half to get our food. Thankfully we ordered appetizer. The check came in but it also took a while. The server gave us lots of water so he was attentive but then it was hard to find him at check out.
Great views and perfect place to surprise a date. Just make sure to book way in advance, like 2 months.
View: amazing. Service has been good both times there. Rotating floor so everyone gets a view. Drinks are good. The evening thyme is really good. All of the food in this review was good… except the spinach was slightly watery and lacked a little flavor. The wings were ok. I feel they were overcooked and lacked flavor but the dipping sauce made it better. The fries, pork chop and pizza were the best. Jan 2024
While the concept of a rotating restaurant with awesome views of DC is awesome, at the end of the day it's a restaurant and the basic thing that they need to do is serve good food and provide quality service.
They lacked both. We ordered an appetizer (burrata), 2 entrees (impossible burger with fries and mushroom truffle pizza) and 2 desserts. The pizza was amazing, the fries were terrible and everything else was in between. However, the drinks were pretty awesome.
The service was not great. The server didn't even bother to refill the water or bring silverware with the desserts or take the dishes when the food was done. Just not the kinda service you'd expect at a nice restaurant.
So yes you might get lucky and eat something nice with a view or just be disappointed like we were!
The food was tasty, but the portions were not large. Chef Ramsey would be proud because there was not a lot of food leaving out, lol. The view was nice but more so of neighboring buildings and inside people's homes.
When we arrived, we were informed that there was a problem in the kitchen and they could only serve some of the appetizers and salad. It would have been nice to have been informed in advance. The entrance to the restaurant is thru the Double Tree and access could be better marked. The views from the restaurant were amazing. Despite the disappointment with the limited menu, the sweeping views are worth the visit. We will absolutely come back and enjoy the views.
P.S. - the fact that the restaurant rotates provided the perfect topic for amazing “dad” jokes. My wife agreed with the amazing views but gave the litany of “dad” jokes a thumbs down.
The food was not good. Poor selection and poor quality. You are basically paying for the view. I ordered the salmon, which was small, dry, and not flavorful. They put on the same plate as my salad and brought it all at once. Staff did not seem to keep up with the pace of the room. Anyone who thinks the food was good here doesn't know quality dining.
The food was delicious, but the menu it’s not varied, we ate truffle fries that were great. Service was adequate and finally, the atmosphere with the view was magnificent just the restaurant is small so I recommend to get a reservation so you can ask to sit near to the window, also you should wear something that keep you warm bc AC was quite cold ———-
Excellent lugae, aunque El menu con pocas opciones, the recomiendo pedor comp side las papas trufadas y usar algo Que te abrigue ya que el aire acondicionado estaba fuerte. Trata de hacer reserva ya que el ligar es pequeño.
The food was prepared fresh so it took a little longer to be served, but it was delicious. The gnocchi was obviously freshly made in house. The atmosphere is fun and of course the views are breathtaking. Of course the restaurant is on the roof of the Hilton hotel and is a little difficult to find from inside the hotel, but the views are definitely worth it!
